about the eNavigation

"Pacific Maritime Magazine's Seattle eNavigation Conference was an excellent forum for industry feedback. We had the opportunity to discover new technologies and applications, as well learning the latest regulations and requirements. It was a great opportunity for non-stop networking. A completely positive experience and I look forward to the 2008 Edition! Thanks PMM for creating and continuing the forum"

 Welcome to

eNavigation, is more than a new piece of equipment. eNavigation is a new information system that will support and improve marine safety, security, environmental stewardship and maritime commerce.

Based on available and new technologies, eNavigation will serve the entire maritime community; mariners and ship operators, government authorities and commercial entities.

Although IMO and IALA are developing high-level eNavigation policy, its actual functionality has yet to be defined. It is critical that eNavigation be shaped to the needs of all who do business upon the navigable waters of the world.

eNavigation 2008 is a forum to allow us to do our part. Our part – that of all of us in the maritime community – is to ensure that eNavigation will serve our particular segment of the industry.

Your participation in eNavigation 2008 will keep you informed of maritime navigational information systems that already successfully address real user needs.

And, it will provide you with an opportunity to consider how a similar information system might serve your particular needs.

eNavigation 2008 will follow the format of its predecessors by combining an update about regulatory actions and governmental projects with discussions of technological developments. These will be followed by a presentation of the status of eNavigation’s development and by sessions that will highlight examples of successful application of information systems that address real maritime problems.

eNavigation 2008 will afford attendees ample opportunity to exchange views with experts in the maritime profession including eNavigation equipment vendors and service providers who will exhibit their products and services. It’s a unique opportunity to discuss your views with regulators, equipment vendors, service providers and other users to make your ideas known – and considered for implementation.

Register today to ensure that your voice is heard, and to hear what others are saying about how you will be doing business in the future.
